Whom have you lost touch with that you wish were still in your life?
There are a few people that I wish were still in my life. There are people that I have lost touch with...on purpose, but I still think of them often. Then there are friends that moved away, that I wish I still kept in contact with. There are 3 people that I have tried locating and have been unsuccessful.
The first is Lisa from Wisconsin. She moved to Arizona and I haven't heard from her in years. I just thought the world of her when we were younger. She was so crazy, so I can only imagine where she is now.
Then there is Amy. I met her at Valleyfair and we worked together. She was a lot of fun, and she moved back to Wyoming. A few years ago she randomly came to Minnesota and ran into someone at the Mall of America that had my number. She called me and I raced to the MOA to see her and have not seen her since. She gave me her address at that time, and I wrote once or twice, and haven't heard from her since.
Finally there is Quella. I don't know why, but I think of her often. We were never really that close, but out of all the people she worked with at Valleyfair, we were the closest. I cannot remember her last name, and it is frustrating, as I would like to see her on Facebook or something.
President-elect Barack Obama is being sworn into office today. Where are you watching the events of this historic day unfold?
I will be watching it all unfold at home with the Becker Boys. They are not happy to be watching it, but I promised if they were well behaved, after Barack gets sworn in, they can play the Wii. So, now, every time Barack is shown on TV, they scream, "There is Barack Obama, we can play Wii". So, now they get to play Wii after lunch.

How do you feel about the results of the election?
I feel wonderful about the election results. Minnesota is still blue, and that is a great feeling. It was rough living in Idaho and being in such a red state. We are still awaiting the results from the senate race. Norm Coleman is leading with 725 votes, so it is an automatic recount. I am holding on that Al Franken can still wait.
Obama winning is such a relief. I have teared up so many times today. I am looking forward to the new year. I can feel 2009 will be great. We will start off with a new president, and mid way through the year I will graduate.
It's Election Day! How was your voting experience?
I was number 580 to vote this morning. Which my 9:00 this morning, my voting place had 600 voters, which means, 300 an hour! What a turn out. It was quite busy, and all parking was full.
I can't wait for the results. Change is coming.
Have you ever volunteered for something? If so, what?
Being one of my resolutions for 2008, I have put in an effort this year. I have volunteered to speak at a local high school for a career day. It was interesting. I spoke on being an insurance producer. It's not an exciting career, but if you are a good sales person, there is money to be made. My classes were small, and the people seemed uninterested. But I also spoke on the importance of teen safe driving, which is far more interesting.
I also volunteered once for the DFL. I did some data entry for them, and then they asked me to make phone calls, that was a big no. I am or was, on the phones all day for work, trying to sell insurance products. Making phone calls in my spare time was the last thing I wanted to do! I have offered to come back any time and do data entry, but have not received a phone call or e-mail.
And now, I am currently "volunteering" at my old job. I recently quit my full time job, but am going to be training in the new person. I am not sure if it is technically volunteering, I won't be paid for it, but it is considered "paying off my debt". I was given a bonus not to quit a few months back, and things have since changed, and I chose to leave there and just work part time, since school has been so overwhelming, among other chaotic work stuff. Anyway, I am training in my replacement free of charge. I'm a nice gal.
I have a few more months to volunteer, but I am not sure that I will be able to do much more. I am proud of what I have done, but do wish it could have been more. I feel that I have fulfilled this resolution!
What were you afraid of when you were younger that seems silly to you now?

I was always scared that my dad would kidnap me. He gave me no reason to think this, my parents are still married, but almost every time we would drive some where alone, I would literally hug the door, so I could jump out if needed. I would constantly ask why he was taking the way he was going, and I would memorize all the lefts and rights, in case of an emergency. Being kidnapped by my dad would not have been that bad, after all, he would take me to Country Kitchen almost everyday. I never understood why he I felt this way, my dad may have a bad temper, but a kidnapper he is not.
To this day, I still don't like when people take weird ways to places, and if paying close attention, I can remember how to get some where that I may not have visited for years. But I still ask for directions, carry them with me, and stress about getting lost...just in case.
What is the one word that perfectly describes your day today?

Depressing.
Do you have any crazy superstitions?
I hate odd numbers. But to me, 0 and 5 are not odd. I even have to eat in even numbers. If I have an odd number of chips or M&M's (or anything else small enough to count), I either give the odd oneaway, throw it away, or get more to make it even. Somethings I don't count, like fries or noodles or something. The volume on the TV and car must read an even number.
I also have "special" pieces when I eat, so when people just come and take food off my plate or whatever, it really irritates me. At work, my co-worker does it all the time, and it drives me crazy! I am all about sharing, but just ask, so I can point out the one you can't eat! I have been better about special pieces and I am not as bad as I use to be. I also eat in circles. A burger or sandwich, I eat all the way around the edges, and save the middle (and best piece) for last!
I can be quite entertaining while I eat.....
