What was the best movie you saw this year?
Juno. I went to see Juno the other night with KT Lou. The theater was packed. People everywhere. We walked into the theater number 5 and they were seating people. I felt like we were at a restaurant, they asked how many and KT said 2. There were no seating on the "upper level". We were given the option to sit towards the front or go to guest services and either get our money back or go to a different flick. We sat there debating what to do. We ended up deciding to stay and we had to sit in the second row. Before the movie even started my neck hurt, but I fought through the pain. The last time I went to a movie with KT Lou, we saw Hurricane and we sat in the very front row. We laughed about that and I decided that I would never again go to a movie in the theater with KT.
But Juno was great. I loved the soundtrack, I loved the plot and I loved the Minnesota references. Nothing makes me happier than to see Minnesota license plates or for someone to name drop the Ridgedale Mall. Rarely will I leave a theater and am thinking about how I would want to see that again in theaters or want to own it. But the next day I offered to see it with Lisa and am eagerly awaiting the sountrack release on January 8th.
Sad that the best movie I saw all year came at the end of 2007!
